Superbowl Sunday Challenge!

Anyone can participate in this and you do not have to watch the Superbowl to play. The winner will win something fun from Village Wools. Just so you know, I don’t care who wins the football game today. I just look at is as a great opportunity to get hours of knitting done!

Here is the challenge. Take a picture of whatever you are working on before you start knitting at all today. (You can come into this late too! I bet some of you can knit more in 2-3 hours than some of us in a day!) Before you go to bed tonight take the second picture to show how much you were able to knit today. I know some of you will probably sit and knit throughout the entire game and some will do your normal Sunday thing. So let’s see who can knit the most today. I’ll give you until Tuesday morning to post your pictures and then I will pick a winner. Post it in your blog so we can get as many people to play as possible. Um….can you tell I’m competitive? However, I know I will not win because some of you have some crazy mad skillz!

Here is my Ruffles at 8:18am.
You can pretend this is your warm up for the Knitting Olympics if you are doing that. I think it should be fun! Who’s going to play? Go ahead and stretch, drink some water, get comfy and here we go. On your mark, get set, KNIT!

Hmm, are you randomly pulling names? Or is it going to be the knitter who knit the mostest? ‘Cos this kid would luv to win something from the fabulous Village Wools, but… today is for finishing off odds and ends before the Olympics, so I’m not going to have any huge amount knitted…

I’d love to play, but don’t have a digital camera yet. So I’ll just cheer everyone else on while I’m cheering for the Seahawks to win the Superbowl.

    Love your new site!

You Rascal! I was peacefully avoiding housework and planning an (unneccesary) trip to Target and now I have to go get all up in some wool!

What kind of Sunday is that?

Hey, the site looks great! I checked it in Safari, and there’s a few quirks, but nothing too major. If you want, I can look at the template code for you and see if I can isolate some of the CSS code that could be causing quirks.

I’m going to try and get a lot done on my Odessa today, but it’s slow going… I started the first pattern row last night, but I ended up losing 3 stitches by the time I finished one round. So I’m going to have to go back and see if I did an even number of increases and decreases. I’ll figure it out eventually :)

Oy…I have a baby shower to go to today (just sewed the buttons on the sweater about an hour ago, and hopefully the fan will get it dry before I have to wrap it up and leave *g*).

We just got home from the company party, got our Stupor Bowl munchies, we are ready…. I just need to make sure not to drink the margaritas until AFTER the game starts ;-)

I’ll go get my camera out. I’m aiming to turn the heel of Jaywalker #1. Have to make veggie childi and do some homework before the game, but 3-4 hours of knitting should get me somewhere on the d*mn sock.

I’m in! :) My plan is to start a scarf at kick-off and knit through the whole game (that’s what I did last year!).

Gah! Of course I read this too late to participate! I did like, 30+ regular rows plus the first 4-5 rows of the heel flap on a Jaywalker today, but I didn’t think to get photographic evidence of my feat. Poop!

such a fun idea - too bad I did not find out about it until today - a day late, and (many) dollars short after I hit up a Superbowl Sale yesterday at the not-so-local yarn shop… ;)

    Pretty Ruffles!

I like the look of your Ruffles. It is exactly the same color as the short row scarf I’m doing for DH!
