You know what makes me happy?

Making other people happy. It’s what I love so much about working at the shop. Today my girlfriend Noelle was there when I arrived as she needed some retail therapy after a really hard day yesterday. She and her husband had to put down their beloved hedgehog Zola. We chatted and looked at a number of new things in the store and I told Franzi (one of the owners) about what Noelle was going through. I a minute flat she had Noelle follow her into the back of the store where she had a stash of yarn a pattern for herself to make this.

Can I get an “Awwwwwww”?  It’s the Fiber Trends Huggable Hedgehog pattern and it’s just so damn cute.  Franzi even handed over her own stash of yarn and the pattern because she could tell how much  it meant to Noelle. It made my day.
Pretty much every day I’m there I make at least one person’s day by helping them find a cool pattern or new yummy yarn and I just love it. It’s such the perfect place for me to work.  I kind of like it. Can you tell?

That was SO SWEET! It made me tear up. Again. She’d met Zola too when I brought her to the shop last fall. A lot of them got to see her that day. I like VW but I think it has a particularly good energy when you’re there :)

Gotta love what you do! So important! A helpful LYS to boot - that’s a rarity around here.

What a wonderful friend you have in Noelle, and vice versa. Now I really want to learn to knit just so I can make one of those adorable hedgehogs!
