Cara had this meme in her blog today and since I didn’t get a lick of knitting done yesterday I thought I’d play. We have a side door instead of a true front door, so I did it a little bit differently. First I give you the view to the right as you walk out of my front door. You can see the walkway from the front of our house.

To the left, you see our backyard. I love our backyard. we have no grass and love how there is the zero maintenance factor. No mowing grass = more time to knit! Right?

I wanted to share these next few pictures because it’s what made us fall in love with this model when we first came looking at houses in Albuquerque 2 years ago. I love the immediate openness you feel as soon as you walk through the door.

No one wears shoes in our house!

And Supergirl looked so damn cute today you had to see what she’s wearing to school. She has decided that she will wear her Crocs every day from now on with no socks. Ommmmmmm. Pick your battles……Ommmmmmmmmmm.

Now I get to go to the OB! I can’t wait. At least I’ll get some knitting done. Also, I tag anyone else who has the time and desire to do this meme. No pressure. Unless I come to your blog and tag you personally. *insert evil laugh*

Everything looks so open and airy. I love that it’s so different from New England where I am.
Ah… I love Southwestern houses. Thanks for sharing! Hi, Supergirl!! I bet hand knitted socks would look super cute in your little Crocs.
I wish I could get my husband to stop wearing his shoes in the house.
ahhhh, soon I will be in my house! I’ll go take a picture in a bit!
Oh I just love your blog (first time visiting) and your home is just GORGEOUS!!!
I love all the pics!
I love your house– soooooo different from the ones you see here in Michigan! My back yard is all brown grass and bare trees right now (it’s been fairly snowless for most of the winter this year.)
Such an open welcoming space, love it! Also, so “adult”, my place is a holdover from college days.
Gawd, I miss NM. Your house is beautiful.
*sigh*
I Love her outfit today. Camo top and girly bottom. Adorable!
Looks wonderful! I love the desert. No cavities for me! YAY!
Your house is soo pretty. It feels open, clean, fresh! The no shoe rule rules.
Your house is so pretty! I love the simple colors and the clean lines - and so open! And I love the backyard. We have a huge backyard that normally I love, but right now is a mud pit. When are you having a blogger sleepover?
Nice job! I love your home … so cozy, so welcoming … how the heck do you keep it so clean?! You do have kids, right?!
The no shoes sign is very cute.. I need one of those for my house too.
Looking at your house pictures made me miss NM, I used to live in Las Cruces.
