Koigasm!!!

That was the best comment ever by Bethe yesterday. I thought I’d share a bit more with y’all since I was able to get some better pictures today and you seemed to enjoy looking at it. We had a staff meeting this morning and I brought my camera. Don’t click the picture unless you want to see the Koigu up close. Major Koigasm alert!!

koigu

There it is in all it’s glory. We got 20 skeins of each of those colors. I heard today that most stores now have to wait 1.5 YEARS to get their next shipments. How crazy is that? I bet we have the biggest supply of Koigu in the world right now.

Here was the fun part today. I got to hand-pick two sets of colors for Knit, Mama! Knit! for blankets for her twin girls. She wanted pinks for one and purples for the other one. I gave her two choices for the purple one. How about my readers can say which one they like best. Choice #1 or choice #2. I think I like #2 best.

And then I put aside this yummy color for Bellamoden who saw it through the plastic in that crappy camera-phone picture!

With all of these pictures make sure you click it again once it opens up so you can see the actual size. I uploadede big ones so everyone could really see it. So who else wants some!?

Hi my name is Frarochvia of bellamoden and I am now famous :P

I don’t like the fourth option you put up in choice #2 at all. I may have a minor aversion to brown, though. Brown is… brown.

Sigh. I am so loving that teal and blue. Tell me, Scout, what would I do with it? Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Dear Lord, it’s like a Koigu orgy over there at the shop! Now only if I had some money!!! I hope there’s still good colors in a couple of weeks when I start my new job. Maybe you can set some aside for me ;)

I need some of that TEAL! It is the exact color
I have been looking for. I have been on a very bad yarn buying
binge. I feel like Bree from Desperate Housewives.
I guess I am making a trip to the yarn store.

Lovely! That’s about 500% prettier than the stuff one of our LYS just received. :) I like choice #2.

Wow, the Temple Koigu is gorgeous. I’d just put up a sheet of glass and not let anyone touch it. Line up a row of chairs in front and sell admission just to LOOK at it. (Like a Yarn Zoo. The Koigu Yarn Zoo!)

Umm…I’m with Libby. I’ve never knit with Koigu. But how much does it sell for?? I like the blue on the left second shelf from the bottom. It’s sitting on teal and has purple yarn to the right of it. Does your shop take orders???

groan….. oh my god you are so freakin lucky! I have 4 total skeins of koigu in my stash which I recently aquired.
I would totally love 2 of everything, but the purple on the second shelf from the bottom on the left looks mighty
    tempting!!!!

Choice two, definitely. And, oh boy, that Koigu looks wonderful! I can’t decide if it’s good or bad that I’m 3000 miles away! (grin)

Koigasm is right! I’m late to the party, but I just have to say “WOW”. I’ve got 2 skeins, but had to order from online (can’t find it locally at all), so it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting - but hey - it’s still Koigu and destined to be socks for me! Lucky you to be able to see all that in one place. I have serious envy. (and way too much caffeine in me this morning)!

Isn’t it the best when those big boxes arrive? I almost always end up taking one skein of each new color. . . but first I was to just dive in!
