New Colors

Remember these colors I picked out for my IK Wobbly Tote for March Project Spectrum?

Wobbly Tote #1

Well now that it’s April I decided to trade in those colors for the new colors.

Green Wobbly

How much fun will that be? Hello Spring! I usually don’t like any of these colors but they are really speaking to me and I think will look super cute all felted up together. One of the things that Project Spectrum forces us all to do is go outside our normal colors. I think it’s a good thing. Otherwise? What Project Spectrum month is purple? I can always trade them in each month until the purple month. Ha!

I have another new project up my sleeve today. Hey Dave? Lookie what I’m borrowing from one of the owners of the store. Wanna come play?

I’m thinking there will be some dye flying over here this afternoon. Cookie was so kind and sent me some dyes and I thought I’d do some Project Spectrum colors. Stay tuned.

Oh! I found out last night I got picked to be a test knitter for some cool, new, yarn from Jacey of Insubordiknit. I can’t wait to see what it is. If you have never seen her swag go check it out. She is super talented and as you can see, has so much fun with every single thing she makes!

You people are banded together in a conspiracy to make dyeing yarn look sane, normal, a lot of fun, and downright necessary for the mere continuination of my life. I swear!

Love the green. What color is that called? I loved the Orange You Glad but I didn’t have the guts to get it for myself. What’s the pink? I think I own that one. I’m always pro-pink, though. And hey! this bag set’s colors could work for May’s too, so there you go.

Great colors for the bag - I’ve got a thing for bright colors like that. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Is that a warping board? That’s a great idea for handpainting yarn! What colors are you going to use?

I’m sooo jealous! You’ll have to report how well that warping board worked. Do you know what circumference skein it makes???

I love the new bag colors too! Quite citrus-y! Yummy!

Spring does things to my color sense too. In the spring I love yellow. Bright, passionate, forsythia yellow. Not that I go so far as to wear it, but all of a sudden I am curious.

Still, I can’t wait for the purple month either :)… I think it comes much further on. Anticipation…

Oh, I’m all about the colors of that bag. Can’t wait to see the dyed yarn! Please take as many in-progress pictures as you can. My DH is itching to make me a warping board (he’s such a tool geek) and I wanna know how one uses one.

Y’know, those aren’t usually my colors, either - but they really look great together. And isn’t next month green? If you time it right it could be a great transition project!

That bag is going to look stunning - and it’ll be easy to find in a crowd ;o)

Yeah, when’s purple? I’ll be all over that. And blue. I might be a little stuck in the cool section of the color wheel these days. I agree that your new colors for your bag are bright and cheery for spring! I like the old colors a bit better, but the more I look at them, they might be too similar to really pop in that design. You know? The new colorw will definitely pop!

I like the new colors better! So springy! I can’t wait to see you working on it. And the insubordknit item! I volunteered to be a test knitter but since I didn’t hear from Jacey I guess I didn’t get picked.
