Ohhh, I love those colors for the shadow shawl. That reminds me, I really need to get my butt moving on mine. Only 5 months until I see my grandmother.

OK...must have that shawl!!! I'm totally in. Do I order the pattern from there? Also, shoot me an email...I have a skein of Vesper you might like (Smoke on the Water) & there is the distinct possibility we could do a swap for some of your beautiful dyed sock yarn!!

I am so glad we corrupted you. =) Beware: I have heard from many knitters of this shawl that ya can't knit just one. (And you know where this can lead, don't you -- a shawl and all . . . those little holes called ---- lace!)

I made this shawl a couple years ago (I think I have a photo of it in my fo photo gallery on my blog). I made mine out of koigu and Gems Merino and it ended up just great.

The pattern took me a good 50 rows to get the hang of it, but once I got into the swing, it was really fun.

I never swatched for mine and it ended up a bit smaller than I would have liked - I still wear it often. Have fun!
