Kate Gilbert’s Tadpole

This colorway is for Kate’s daughter Tadpole. She gave me some great colorways and I chose this one to try. However, I didn’t really have all of the colors to make what she wanted so this will have to do until I get what I need. The green was supposed to be *apple green* and that burgundy was supposed to be…well…ummmm not even close to that! Eventually there will be a revamped Tadpole. For now, here she is. Click to see it up close and in person.

I actually really like it a lot. I’m also not really seeing much twist in the Licorice Twist. Maybe it would have been better in just a solid color.

Hey, that turned out great! Not knowing what your vision was, but this looks worthy of knitting into a FINE pair of socks. (And I’m the last person to give my own a passing grade, so…)

“Orchid Twist.” “Orchid Surprise.” It reminds me of … orchids. I have no idea why.

    I love your color sense!
I’ve been quiet about it lately, but mostly b/c I’m so busy fondling all that new Koigu sent by this enabler from the southwest I met here….

Very pretty yarn! I’ll be with you in spirit only for the dye-o-rama as my kitchen reno will be happening at the same time and there will be no time to dye! (of course I’ll be having serious yarn envy when I see what everyone comes up with, but I can deal)! ;-D
