Have You Ever

read something you wrote a long time ago and thought to yourself, “Wow, who wrote that? Oh! I did! Wow…..I sound wicked smart!” (I like to use wicked as much as possible for Dave) Or maybe with something you knit? Do you know what I’m talking about? That’s how I felt this morning when I woke up and saw this.

yarns

I stared at it for a while and couldn’t really believe that not only had I made all of this but they’re sold and going to new homes. (That one skein of Pumpkin S’mores is still for sale) It’s just kind of a weird thing for me to see all of that and know it’s all made by me. Has anyone noticed in my Etsy materials I put down that my yarn is dyed with *love*? It’s true though! The other thing I’m pretty proud about is my ability to recreate colorways. At first I didn’t think too much about it but after my first custom order I realized I had better start paying attention to what the hell I was doing and write it down if I wanted to do this right. Lucky for me and my OCD tendancies this is the perfect job for me. I love exactness.

Okay. I’ll stop babbling about that for now. For all of my friends back East, you’ll be happy to know that I woke up to clouds. It might not be nice today. I thought you’d like to hear that. Also, My leg is slowly feeling a bit better. It still hurts a lot but I’m going to try and get a little job in this morning and see how it feels. This mama is a very cranky mama if I can’t exercise.

I came back to clarify. This is a bad day in Albuquerque…….

clouds

See? We have clouds! The horrors!

I re-read some of my stuff sometimes and think I sound way smarter than I am. Glad I’m not the only one.
I am amazed by your dyeing abilities. You’re doing a great job!

Isn’t it amazing how that works? “Hey, I made that!” And, no matter how many times your mother told you it doesn’t matter if anyone ELSE thinks you did a good job, as long as YOU know you did, the validation feels really, really good.

I don’t want you to have clouds: 1) I am too nice a person for schadenfreude 2) clouds generally move from west to east. Enough already!

Wow. The colors are amazing - wicked amazing, even! :-) And you sell out as soon as you make them! Wow! Again.

I dyed my first yarn this weekend (haven’t posted the pix yet). The colors turned out nice and bold and bright. But I used too many colors & don’t care for the yarn once it’s knit. Oh well. I still have three skeins to dye. :-)

Is that one in the middle front the one youc alled “Orchids”? It’s gorgeous… and I can see it so much better in this pic than in the one you put up previously.

    Scout’s Scout is fantastic, too.

Love your colors — I just added you to my Etsy favorites. Do you do custom jobs? (I’m sure you’ve answered this before, I just don’t remember…)

I did my first dying this weekend using a ‘getto’ board. I am hooked and thank you for opening up this new skill that I’m sure will cost me lots of money!

I don’t have any of your wonderful lables for my yarn but I will make sure to put up a link to your site. You sure do have a talent for this!

BEEEEEE-UTIFUL yarns. But what is up with that sky? I recognize the white, but you have a blueness I only recall from a vague memory from a long long time ago…and New England hasn’t been the same since.

Don’t get too cocky about the weather chicky. I know what it’s like inJuly, August and September with those crazy thunderheads and lightning! Not to mention the wicked (used just for you) cold (but dry) winters. Other than that, yeah, it’s not bad.

Thank goodness your yarn keeps moving out of your Esty store so fast. It’s prevented me from giving in to temptation. I don’t know how much longer I can hold out.

    girl, you. are. incredible.

If you’re ever up to a trade for anything, just let me know. I’ve been a sock-yarn-dyeing MANIAC for a while now, and the sad thing is that I only actually -knit- with other people’s yarn. *facepalm* It’s some genetic flaw in me, I know.

Your yarn is gorgeous, I can’t even begin to comprehend how you produce such loveliness. And that you can actually repeat it. You have huge talent.
