I haven’t updated the shop because I’ve been super busy doing custom orders for KSKS. I offered up free shipping for anyone doing the swap and it’s been fun creating some new colorways. This one is so beautiful it’s going to be a regular in the shop. Puesta del sol. (named by the person ordering the yarn!)
I dyed two skeins of this if someone wants to grab the other one before I put it up in the shop let me know ASAP. 440 yards of superwash merino for $25.00. The other two new colorways are the ones I did the other day. Think Pink! and Purple People Eater will be added to the shop as well.
There are two other new items that will be up in the shop. One is this cool yarn that dyes one ply a darker color than the others and it’s worsted weight. I did this one in a lighter version of my Orchid colors and I love how it came out. It’s 100% Merino and 225 yards. I’m keeping it the same price as all of my other yarn even though it’s more expensive for me to buy. Again, if you want it, let me know before I put it up in the shop. I’m calling it Orchid Twist.
I have a bunch more of this yarn so contact me quickly if you’d like me to dye something special for you before I dye it all up for the shop. This can be felted too!
The other item will be merino/tencel. I will hopefully have some ready to go this weekend. That’s all folks!

oh doggy those colors!
the yellows are suntastic and juicy!
do you offer a layaway program? that would be dangerous.
layaway for yarn.
yikes.
Is that with teh licorice twist? It turned out soooo cool!!
Hey Scout!
Love the yarns…especially the orchid twist.
Do you mind giving me some advice on proper warping? I just made my first warping board and my yarns always get so tangled!?!
Mmmmm, pretty!
Puesta del Sol is gorgeous!! I emailed from the shop about a special order
Bee-u-ti-ful.
wow weeza! those look fabulous. I am in awe of orchid twist, I can’t wait to see what
else you do with that type of yarn.
JWW
i would love to order some of the merino/tencel combo…if i can. let me know.
I would love the Puesta del Sol if it hasn’t gotten gobbled up?!?!?
The Puesta del Sol is very beautiful! You could take those colors, add a little red, and call it New Mexico Flag! Dibs on the first skein of that!
merino/tencel!! woohoo!
I love purple people eater. I also think puesta del sol looks great.
That orchid twist looks GREAT!
How does it do that??? I know, I know, trade secret.
If you keep coming up with stuff like Puesta del Sol (pause to consult Spanish dictionary — ah, very aptly named) you may change my opinion of yellow — namely, nice color for daffodils and sunsets, not for me.
Omg the orchid twist… I must have a sky blue/cobalty blue version of this yarn if at all possible! Screw this yarn diet, that is PERFECT. And feltable too! I’ve been looking everywhere for a balanced variegated-ish blues in worsted weight feltable.
dammit. i give up- want the orchid if it isn’t spoken for already….

[...] First up is Tie-Dyed, which is literally named because this is the first skein I dyed, and the ties were way too tight. I dyed it in a deep purple, green and blue, but the sections where the cotton ties were didn’t really dye at all. I was somewhat saddened about this, until I realized that it actually looked pretty cool. Mom said that it reminded her of a Tie-Dye T-Shirt, so the name stuck! tie-dyed, with a wonderful frosty perry cider, ahhh. Then we have **New Mexico Sunset**, which is my absolute favorite of this dyeing session. I used Burnt Orange, Aztec Gold and Fire Red together to create a very brilliant skein that reminds me of our gorgeous sunsets here in NM. It wasn’t until later that I realized that I subconsciously dyed the skein of yarn that I hinted Scout about a few months ago. I had said I’d love a skein that looked like the NM flag with yellow and red, and well here it is! I especially love how the white sections that weren’t immersed and just soaked up dye turned a slight pink, which is what the sunset does too. new mexico sunset [...]
