stays in Albuquerque. That’s what Stephanie wrote in my book after I dropped her off after 11:00pm last night. Sorry again Stephanie that it was so late.

The event was great and I was even luckier because she took me up on my offer to drive her around. When I picked her up I was able to giver her the new colorway I designed for her. She loved it. This is called Harlot’s Mums. When I asked her what her favorite colors were she said autumn colors. I immediately thought of the fall flowers I love the most. I’m not normally into these colors but I really love how they look together. I will be adding it to the shop.

We drove to Village Wools in the pouring rain, (can you believe that?) where she cracked me up with all of her questions. It was like driving around with Supergirl. It kind of went like this:
“What’s that!?”
“Oh, that’s an arroyo.”
“What’s that!? Is that Lavender?”
“Yep!” (Whoops…..It’s Russian Sage! DOH! Sorry Stephanie!)
“Oh we have to get a picture of the sock with some of that!”
We hit the shop and she bought some pretty Fiesta and a few other things and we were off in search of Abq props for the sock. She got some good ones. She is doing her Vanna White in this one. And I promise you that her hair was perfect looking when she got off of the elevator at the hotel. The wind/rain/humidity gave her a whole new look which she yelled at us later about for not telling her. When first meeting someone I don’t usually give them hair advice!

We then left the shop and found some local flora. I feel very special to have some behind the scene pictures of just exactly how she gets her sock pictures…..
Lavender

It was raining so hard but she had to get the sock in a palm yucca

And then she braved this crazy cactus plant.

I need to get going so I’m going to post the rest of this later!

Love your photo essay and the yarn. It’s gorgeous! Glad you’re sharing it with the rest of us. How fun that you got to y with the Harlot! And that she got to hang with you.
Jealous. I’m jealous. I should have stayed the extra week and a half, lol!
Oh what fun! Thanks for sharing and I love the Harlot Mums - it’s beautiful!
I love Harlot’s Mums! It’s like a fall version of Orchids (my favorite). Wouldn’t that be yummy in some worsted weight? (hint, hint)
Lucky you spending time with the Harlot (lucky her too though)!
And…humidity? Say it isn’t so?!
Great picture of you two up top! What a fun time!

Lucky lucky Harlot! The behind-the-scenes pictures are cool - thanks for sharing.
Scout, that’s volume and people pay a lot for it. Was the sock okay sitting on that cactus?
What a great time it looks like everyone had! Love your new hair cut on you too!
