Superboy just left for his first day of second grade. I don’t know where I got a kid this big but somehow I did. Here he is at the bus stop with his best buddies Silas & Wyatt. Carole’s boy Silas is on the left and they are so excited they are in class together again. Wyatt is his best bud from up the street with whom he plays every free minute he has. This is the first year Wyatt is going to school with him so that is extra cool.
He’s only slightly excited to be back with his friends on the bus.
And the girlies (Carole’s girly Viv. with Supergirl) will be on that same bus with their brothers next year. Now that will be totally weird. I really won’t know what to do when I have a kindy kid and a 3rd grader.
I’m off to work. Supergirl and Viv have one more week until Pre-K starts so they get to play together all week while their mamas work and juggle them between houses.

They get big so quickly. OK so the 3 boys look way too excited about going back
to school, I think it is really the bus ride they are excited about. “Best buds” look adorable
in that picture.

I forgot how early school starts out west. I got the best of both worlds one year when I moved to ABQ in July and then to VT in January; I started school in August but didn’t get out until the end of June.
WOW, mine don’t start until the 29th! I have a third and a first grader this year!

You do start school early down there! Well, happy first day of school to Superboy. Second grade is the BEST. Really. Of the grades I’ve taught, it’s my favorite and I’m going back this year to stay.

Wow! My kids still have 3 weeks till school starts. They’ll be in 2nd and 5th grade. Time flies by way too fast. I know I’m not nearly old enough to have kids this big.

It’s crazy, isn’t it? Tomorrow I will send my kids to 1st and K and I will be home all alone. It’s exciting and scary all at the same time.

Good luck in school superboy–enjoy it to the fullest :). They do grow quickly. My boy (he is 4) is looking forward to school next year…he is so excited.
oh my gosh! I can’t believe it has started already. Con and Mi are so ready to go back…but we have until the
first week of september to wait. The boys look so grown up, and excited. The girlies, well those girlies are going to
be a handful! I bet they are getting pretty stoked about pre k too though.
Can’t wait to hear how the first day went.
