And She’s Back

I wish I had brought my camera as we saw a lot of New Mexico over the past 24 hours. I had never driven over the Rio Grande Gorge before or seen the Earthships. Those things are wild. Did you know the Earthship World Headquarters are outside of Taos? Yup. As we were driving by T. said, “What the hell are THOSE things?” and I had remembered Jess posting about them so I was able to tell him what they were. But they really do look strange. The best part was that I got a lot of knitting done. When you have 4+ hours in the car on fairly straight roads it’s amazing what you can accomplish. This is the only picture I have from the whole trip.

knitting

This is the project I’m going to be knitting on Knitty Gritty. It’s going to be super basic and is actually something I came up with that’s simple but still tres chic. I might have to keep it a secret I think. I’ll see…

I’m off for a run, then back to dye up some custom orders and I think we’re going out again tonight before our friends go back home. Oh, the shop is really stocked right now too. I’m trying have lots of everything for holiday shopping. I think it’s so cute that a few of your partners/husbands/significant others have been shopping for you. Some of you have some amazingly sweet loved ones!!

Have a great rest of your weekend.

I’ve told my Grandma that you work at Village Wools so she may be stopping in. You’re shop is definitely a great place to direct the relatives.

By that “fairly straight roads” comment, I hope you weren’t suggesting you’ve been knitting WHILE driving??? You ARE the passenger, right? Erck.
