Houston, We Have a Problem

Yay! Pretty roving!

Wednesday, 6:45am.

Boooooo!!!!

WTH!? Snow!

ice

Crap! And it was almost dry too. Oh well. I guess I won’t be doing much work today. Maybe it’s a sign to get my ass in gear to go shopping for a few outfits for the show. I’m set in the jeans/shoes/accessory department but just need to get a few different tops. Mona? Want to go shopping? I hate shopping. Really. I know that probably sounds weird but I do. And, no matter what I wear I’ll still look like an Amazon woman standing next to petite Miss Thang, aka Vickie. I wonder if wardrobe could put some gigantic, bulky, sweater with horizontal stripes and cables like this so she looks bigger than she is? Maybe they can at least give her a box to stand on? I guess I don’t really know exactly how tall she is but she looks teeny tiny. I’m 5′8″ and with my clogs I’m almost 5′10″. I’m pretty sure that’s at least 5″ taller than she is. Do you see the things I’m thinking about that are causing me insomnia?

Ooooh! Ooooh! I just got the Clover Account! Huzzah! I just ordered a whole bunch of mini kach-kachas, Chibis in different sizes, the Pendant Threadcutter and some other cool things! I hope to have them within the next week. This makes me so happy. Going for a run in the cold snow does not. But I must run. Must. run. Going. On. TV. Must. Run…..

Ooh, I was hoping for that colorway! *happy dance* Now I’ve gotta hurry up and finish spinning the stuff on the wheel so I can spin that up as soon as it arrives!

I should probably file this under “be careful what you wish for,” but I think snow would be a welcome change from the scary weather we’re having on the east coast. December is literally around the corner and it hasn’t gone below fifty in weeks. Ugh.

Snow shouldn’t hurt your pretty pretty roving. Just let it dry (again) inside.
How wierd is it that you have snow in New Mexico, and I’m up here in Ontario looking
    at dry ground?
    Good luck on the show!

I suppose it’s impolite to point and laugh…but really, what are the odds? 60 in Boston and snow in Albuquerque? =)

Love the colors. Hey stop worrying, you are going to look great. I’ve never seen you look bad, just wear what you love and are comfortable in.

Don’t worry too much. If the heights are drastically different, they’ll put her on a box. They have one set aside for exactly that purpose.

I’m excited for your KG appearance and bummed I won’t be a knitster on your episode. Wish I would have known; I would have requested it. Maybe next time you’re in town, we meet up, hit a lys and lunch. I really love my November swag BTW. The colors are so marvelous together.

When Vickie was next to Annie Modesitt (who I believe is 5′10″) it didn’t make Annie look like an Amazon woman, so I think you will be okay. :) Plus, Vickie always wears tall heels. ;) You will be totally fine!

Love the fiber! unfortunately I really really REALLY do not need any more fiber. [oh and -- what sort of wool are pippi's top? if you/she know, it would be helpful to us spinner-types if you listed that on your shop detail page for the fiber. :) ]

Ah shucks…well, at least you can still go out and get something done :).
Hahaha, you know, I was thinking that I would probably have to stand on a box myself so people could see me over the table, hahahaha.

Haha, I suppose I should recant my previous comment saying “pssh, snow?” I was just as surprised this morning, but the dogs love it!

And don’t worry, if Vickie is shorter than you, she won’t mind. Us short people get used to being dwarfed all the time. It’s just kinda a fact of life I suppose…

I totally understand not liking shopping, sometimes malls just overwhelm me, and then I never do find something I looove. Remember being a kid, when shopping was exciting? and things fit beautifully? and you didn’t feel too tall/too fat/too short/ too whatever to fit into all the cute cloths?
    *sigh*
At least you’re shoppping for a fun reason!

Ok. Something is really wonky with the weather when you get snow, and Indiana gets 70 degree weather.

Oh, man, snow in your roving! It’s like how putting something to dry on a clothesline is a sure way to get it to rain. Well, not here, but you know.
