Happy Eye Candy Hanukkah Friday

hanukkah

Happy Hanukkah to all that celebrate it. Hanukkah Harry has already been here and the kids can’t wait to celebrate. (Am I the only one that knows Hanukkah Harry?) I’m still exhausted and so busy I can’t see straight. Hopefully a few more nights of sleep will help. Happy Friday everyone.

Hey I was brought up a rebellious Catholic girl. But I attended a High School with a really high percentage of Jewish population. I got to attend several Bas Mitzvahs and even a Bar Mitzvah. I never did know what Hannukah Harry looked like, but I knew the Dreidel Song.

Not only don’t I know Hannukah Harry, we haven’t even gotten our Menorah out! Or our tree up! Mixed family here. Because the presents get split over the entire month, they end up with a lot of little things, books, bath goodies, underwear! But we did make Potato Latkes last night (of course the 5 year old has them with ketchup, ugh!). She voluteered me to make them for her class on Tuesday (how do I say latkes in Spanish?)

Happy Hanukkah, Scout! It’s almost sundown here, and I can’t wait to go on a Hanukkiah hunt around the neighborhood when I take the kids to piano. Even as a Christian, my mom loved the Judaic traditions from which our religion developed, and I have fond memories of Hanukkah. May you and yours be blessed this holiday season!

Hanukkah Harry fills in for Santa and delivers kids underwear, which they are totally thrilled with….NOT! I love Hanukkah Harry, still laugh when I remember that skit. Wasn’t it on Saturday Night Live?

Happy Hanukkah! I’ve heard of Hanukkah Harry, but I couldn’t tell you if I ever actually *saw* the sketches or not.

Sure, I’ve seen Hanukkah Harry. But I’m fonder of the Hannukkah song by Adam Sandler. My husband is culturally Jewish.

Happy Hannukah! And yes, Harry, from SNL! He was Jon Lovitz? And do you know the Meanie of Hannukah? :)
