Knitting & Indie Swag Up in Here….

First let’s show you my progress on the scarf. That would be the Norovember scarf. Yeah, yeah, I know it’s December but hell I think I have a good excuse. I feel like the last month has been sucked into the vortex better known as Knitty Gritty. Not complaining, I just got sidetracked in all of the preparation.  I brought the scarf with me to California and knit on the plane and in the airports. I got quite a bit done. I think I’m at about 40″. I still love it and can’t wait to wear it. Click it to see up close.

Indie Swag. What can I say other than I’m busting my butt to get it done as soon as I can. I just about froze my fingers and toes out there today getting a big chunk of it done. Who loves yah!?!?  I’m really hoping you all just understand that this past month was a little out of the ordinary and threw me for a loop in terms of keeping up with, well, life in general. My plan is to have it out by the end of this next week. Heck, that wouldn’t even be late since I orginally said it would go out the 2nd or 3rd week of each month so I guess I’m still within that time frame. I just really wanted it to you before Christmas but I’m not sure that’s going to happen. To make up for it, I give you a sneak peek. These are only two of the colors though so I promise it will still be a total surprise. See? I told you it was pretty!

In terms of the Shop, I am cranking orders out and sometimes even get them out that same day. I have Carrier Pick-Up so I just throw them out in a box and sometimes even make another run to the PO before 6:00pm. I guess what I’m saying is, “There’s still time to get your holiday swag!”

I now must do about a trillion things before we go to three different holiday parties tonight. That’s out plan anyway. Who knows if we can do it. T has his work party and then two different sets of friends are having parties. Shoot, Hannukah Harry needs to get organized too. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Oh! And to any parents of little kids? If your kids haven’t seen Monster House yet, I would wait until they are around 30 to watch it. Okay, maybe 7 or 8. It’s scary man! Hanukkah Harry brought it last night and it scared the crap out of Supergirl who kept saying, “I am SO NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP TONIGHT!” And true to her word she came and woke us up at 1:30am. *sigh*

My kids LOVED Monster House. I was worried they’d be too scared, but they were fine.
    The new colorway looks pretty.

Scout…sometimes life just gets in the way. Life’s been so crazy with Christmas knitting I haven’t even had a chance to knit the yarn from last month. No worries. Plus we can’t have you freeze your fingers off. Where would we all be then???

The scarf is great! Is that the Rainbow Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts? I just finished that scarf TODAY! I’ll post about it tomorrow if I get some sunshine for a decent pic.

Love that yarn! I may have to steal that one away from KnittyOtter. *L* Shhhhhh… don’t tell her.

Are you remembering to take time for yourself, girlie? All this crazy running around is going to bite you on the nose if you’re not careful. *hugs*

There was a Santa pub crawl in Manhattan this weekend (don’t ask), and among the 500 or so Santas I saw, there was actually a Hanukkah Harry. The people I was wanted to know why one of the Santas was dressed in blue, and I looked at them in disbelief and said “Guys, that’s Hanukkah Harry!” Glad I’m not the only one who knows about him…
