Snow!

We’re home safe and sound. I picked the kids up early because the roads are really bad. I saw four accidents in one mile. I told the kids I got them so they could come home and play in the snow. I can’t believe how much snow we have now! Happy happy kiddos. I hope T. gets home safely because it’s totally nuts out there. Albuquerque, New Mexico is not prepared for a foot of snow. Enjoy the pictures.

Good thing they have those hand-knits to keep them warm! That’s just amazing. I hope T has a safe commute home.

Oh snow!!! What fun! I was chatting with a lady last night while waiting for SnB to start, thad we figured that it had been no less than 10 years since we’ve had a good, measurable, play in it snow. Hope your kids had a ball!

Woo-Hoo, I’m so excited about the snow! If just for an excuse to leave work early and stay home and knit while drinking tea/coffee/hot chocolate and watching some good movies.

And there were a ton of accidents on the way home too…one lady was totally stuck and couldn’t figure out why flooring the pedal didn’t get her unstuck. Ah, Albuquerque in the snow.

Wow, one doesn’t think of snow and New Mexico at the same time very often. My grandmother used to live in Kingman, AZ though and it
snowed there quite often. Hope you all stay safe, warm and happy during your winter wonderland.

And here I am in Maine, where it’s SUPPOSED to snow and nothing. We’ve had unseasonably warm weather so far (although it is getting a little colder now. I’m not complaining - I hate the snow.

Like Julie, I’m in New England wearing just a sweater, no snow in sight. I’m WISHING it
    would snow, though!

I’m a horrible selfish girl. My first thought was, “Good thing she got all that swag yarn dyed up before the snow started. haha
The kids look like they’re having a super awesome time :)

No, no, no! Don’t tell me to come look how much snow you have! We had that much about 10 days ago (I have photos on my blog, but it seems to be down yet again - stupid host)! I hope your snow lasts, ours is long gone and the weathernetwork predicts another green Christmas. Your kids look like they are having a great time - the dog doesn’t look nearly as happy!

I can’t believe it, when I lived in ABQ we got 3 inches and everything shut down! Here in VT we only have a dusting of snow and haven’t had anything major all winter.

Oh my… I had no idea it snowed out in Albaquerque! Especially since we often see all of
    those awesome blue sky pictures:)

But from the looks of it having some snow around was loads of fun! It sure does
    look christmasy:)

Hope all went well during your husband’s comute… Bad weather brings out the worst
    in people sometimes.

Ah - that must be the storm headed our way. It was such a beautiful day to day I was really having trouble believing the weathermen when they said we should have a couple of inches by morning. I guess they aren’t fooling.

I once drove through the worst snow storm I’ve ever negotiated on highway 285(?) between Monarch CO and Albuquerque. Truly thought I might get stranded in a field - it was white as far as the eye could see.

A foot of snow! Our island grinds to a halt if we get more than half an inch :-)
We just don’t get snow. I think the last time we had more than an inch was about
15 years ago - put it this way my daughter was a toddler and she is now 17.
She is desperate for it to snow, me I think I’ll pass :-)

It’s getting insane up here- they are predicting between 14 and 24 inches by tomorrow morning. My kiddos went out and less than an hour later, all of the tracks were covered. At least it might stay around for a white Christmas!
