Have You Had Your Daily Fiber?

I have. I’ve dyed for three days straight and am slowly getting caught up with orders. Because of the lovely weather I was unable to dye for an entire week. I’ve also been waiting on yarn to get here for the Indie Swag and I dyed half of that today thank goodness. I’ve been extremely stressed out waiting on all of this yarn to get here. Friday and Saturday were spent on custom orders and are ready to mail out tomorrow. Can you tell what’s the most popular colorway right now? Click to see the bigger version.

pretties

The Indie Swag colorway this month is totally rad. Yes. I said rad. My amazing graphic designer & friend Cynthia of hula-la created this colorway and we both love it. The name is even fun. Also, Indie Swaggers are going to get a brand new yarn I’ll talk about in a few days. I just got it in and am very excited about it. I’m not sure if I’ve seen anyone else dye with it yet either. More on that later.

I had something else to talk about and I can’t remember. I’m tired. I just ate a peanut butter, honey and banana sandwich with a glass of milk. I was feeling slightly hypoglycemic so it sounded good. I think it’s been seven years since I’ve had one of these sandwiches. I never eat sandwiches. Do you? What’s your favorite? Just curious.

I’m going to knit. Maybe I’ll take a nap? I haven’t done that in a few years either. Did you hear about the new study in the Archives of Internal Medicine that shows taking a 30 minute nap decreases your chances of having a heart attack? I order naps all around! Tell your friends, family, employer that you’re just trying to live longer.

All of those yarns look gorgeous - but I’m particularly loving the green right now. Could it be the lack of green outside my window?
I didn’t know about the nap study. DH is an advocate of the afternoon nap, I’ll have to tell him about the study. Me, I knit instead!

Gorgeous, as usual. :) I almost never eat sandwiches because most gluten free bread is too crumbly…

The colourways are awesome! I love the blues/browns is that the RAD colourway? Cynthia has great taste ;).

I would like a nap too…I think I should take one as my eyes are watery and I am feeling pretty miserably with this cold.

Beautiful yarns as usual! My favorite sandwich is definately a homemade BLT. You’ve inspired me to go get the makings for one.

I have had an unprecedented “2 nap weekend” - I knew there was a reason! Thanks for the rationalization and information:)

Sandwiches? If I ever have a sammie - it’s still pb & j for me! Old habits die hard - and a little banana with pb isn’t bad either!

Love the yarns. I’d have to say I’m in love with the greens. I’m not a big sandwich eater but when I do have one I love Pastrami with mustard, pickles and American cheese. Almost everyone in my family says Yuck except my dad….like father like daughter. :)

I can’t wait to see the swag! Favorite sandwich at home: sharp cheddar cheese and vine-ripened tomato on whole wheat bread with a teeny bit of mayo. Favorite sandwich out: the portobello and mushroom sandwich I had at Panera Bread. If you teach me how to take a nap, I’ll get right on it. I haven’t been able to sleep during the day since I was 2 or 3. It made working periodic night shifts really interesting from 1994-1996!

sandwiches: i love sandwiches. in the summer, my fave sandwich is a nice crusty french bread or sourdough, toasted. then some cream cheese (plain) with salt and pepper. add fresh sliced cucumber.
I also love the crusty bread, brie or camembert cheese, plus slices of granny smith apple sandwiches.

you can see that none of these are good for you. that would be the hallmark of any good sandwich. :)

I love peanut butter and honey when I’m feeling hypoglycemic, too. I also love PB and banana, but I’ve never tried all three together. I’m adding it to the list. ;) Gorgeous yarn, Scout!

As always I just LOVE your colorways!!! I do hope, once you’ve taken a rest from this time around, that you’ll do an Indie Swag Club #2!!!!
My very favorite sandwich is Kalamata Olive bread, some dijon mustard, havarti cheese, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber if you feel like it and sunflower sprouts. I first had this on my honeymoon in Kauai and have loved it ever since.

You’re so cute when you’re sleepy.

I’ve been eating them a lot lately. Been craving tuna. Not sure why. Not sure I want to know.

    I think I need a nap now. ;^) *hugs*

Ever since I started this new anti-depressant, I need a nap every day. I am learning to slow my life down and realize that I don’t *have* to do everything I thought I had to. My body is telling me I need rest, and it is forcing me to comply. Of course it’s cutting into my knitting time, but it’s not like my knitting is a race to get done.

Love all the colourways, but the thing that holds me back from ordering any is that I prefer a 75/25 woll/nylon blend for socks. I cannot bear to work so hard on a pair of socks and then have the heels get holes i n them. That just happened to my favourite pair and I am still in mourning! My fault for using 75/25 wool/alpaca, but I couldn’t resist because they were so incredibly soft.

    Have a great week!

Love the Blue on the Bottom, blue like spring blue sky for me.

Fave Sandwich which I don’t eat often enough: Avocado, Onion, Tomato, Sprouts, Soy Bacon Bits and Mayo on Whole Wheat. Yumm!!!

I don’t eat sandwiches very often. My favorite would be peanut butter on multigrain bread with apple slices, open face. I haven’t read the new “research” about naps but I believe that we Americans are too intense and should nap more. I used to feel guilty about napping but I have found that I function better after I nap. But then I don’t have little ones running around anymore who interfere with nap time! I have 3 grown childre, one was a good napper and the other two never believed in the things!

The colors look great! I think I see my order? :-) I’m glad that I shoveled the snow so the postman started delivering my mail again. I’ve been eating PB&J on whole wheat english muffins lately, but my fav is called the Sweet Vermonter. Panini with ham, cheddar and apple slices with maple mayo. Mmmm…..

Love the homemade BLT. I love the sandwiches from Panera Bread as well with a bowl of the broccoli cheese soup. Mmmmmmm.

That Snow Bunny is calling to me and I’m not sure how much longer I can resist. I hope you do another Indie Swag club as well. I’d love to be in that one.

I could spend many hours blissfully sniffing, petting and admiring your beautiful yarn. My favorite sandwich is tomato, avacado and
    cucumber on wheat bread.

MMM….that sandwich sounds great. I have PB&H sandwiches when I get the chance, although there are rarely bananas around this house. Ray doesn’t like ‘em, and I like them best when they’re still kind of green, so I can only ever get 1 or 2 at a time.

There was a bagel shop back in Norfolk VA, walking distance from my apartment, that had an awesome bagel “sandwich” called the “21st Street Surprise.” It was a bagel of your choice, topped with peanut butter, honey, bananas, sunflower seeds, and raisins. Probably too much sweet for some, but man I loved that. Crazy messy to eat, but kept you full for-freakin’-ever.

And side note to Heather G. - you can *totally* crochet socks.

Pretty colors…one of those mine?? Sandwiches…yes I do eat them but my favorite depends on the time of year! I love Peanut Butter (which I HAD a jar of the recalled PB last week) & Banana sandwiches (no honey, which I’ve never tried…no mayo~yuck…seems to be a favorite of some people) any time of year but during the summer I LOVE toasted tomato sandwiches w/ a slice of fresh mozzarella…those fresh tomatoes from the garden just call to me!

I love sandwiches! My favorite is a Tuna Melt with any delicious cheese.

I have long been a proponent of naps. My place of employ actually ahs an unused basement with couches in it for hangover naps (there’s also a kegeraor in the basement, this explains the need to facilitate hangover naps)

Sandwiches? When I was in school, it was straight peanut butter most days, with an occational peanut butter and cheese for variety. (Eeew! So dry!) Now its egg salad, hands down. Mmmmm…a few chopped capers, some chopped watercress for body and a little bit of softened butter on the bread. With all that, it even tastes great on whole wheat!
