First of all, Supergirl and I thank all of the commenters on the last post. Wow. Whoulda thunk there would be so many people with advice on lefty knitting? The overall consensus seems to be to try and show her how to knit continental (continentally?) and then just let her do whatever is comfortable. Sounds like great advice to me. She’s doing well with it and I re-taught T. how to knit last night so he could help her too.
This week has about kicked my ass. Superboy has been involved with the Missoula Children’s Theater this week. If you haven’t heard of it definitely chck out their website. It’s such a cool concept. They are doing Snow White and he’s a forest animal. I think he’s a frog. Better than his friend who is a skunk! But the way this works is that they have practice every day for five days in a row and then they perform on the sixth day, which is tomorrow. I’m telling you that this child was born to be a performer. I’m glad he finally agreed to take part in this because he’s having the best time. Wish him luck tomorrow as he has his two performances in the afternoon. He just said to me, “I can’t wait for the shows tomorrow.” Ah, my little actor.
The practices in the afternoons, no school yesterday and today on top of the fact that my head feels like it’s going to explode from the allergies kicked up by an entire week of windy weather has left me whooped. However, I got some mail yesterday that made my day. I did a swap with Leslie and lookie at my Eye Candy for today.
I picked out the fabric from reprodepot and she made them for us. Supergirl and I cook/bake a lot together and when I saw Leslie’s I knew we needed our own matching set. I love how they came out. Aren’t they fantastic?
I had to share this other picture I took yesterday. The moon has been so beautiful over the Sandias over the past few days. This is my new favorite. Click to see the bigger version.
Have a great weekend everyone. I have my first soccer game on Sunday which scares the crap out of me since we lost our goalie and don’t know who will play for us. We are playing a team called Deadhorse. It cracks me up because their cheer goes, “You can’t beat a …….DEAD HORSE!” Maybe you have to be there? Let’s hope I can go another season without getting in trouble…..

WooHoo!! I’m first! Love the aprons. Too cute!
I got the yarn yesterday. That base yarn is so soft and cuddly!
I’ve been meaning to say it, but haven’t taken the time — I love your pictures of New Mexico sky! I haven’t had the fortune of being in New Mexico for quite a number of years, but the sky there always impressed me with it’s depth of blue and the sunsets were some of the most vivid I’ve ever seen. Your pictures are always wonderful. Thanks for sharing them!
Yay Superboy! Break a leg!
What a way to moon the Sandias.
I LOVE the matching apron sets. I planned to do the same for my little one. Also,
congrats on Supergirl being a new knitter on the block. I can’t wait to teach my little
one to knit too.
Hope Superboy does a fantastic job tomorrow.
Way to go SuperBoy. I love the aprons, my girls want me to make aprons for them.
Wow, Superboy’s schedule sounds like the summer stock schedule! I hope he has fun! The aprons are great!
I love the aprons. Damm allergies are kicking my butt
this week!
Hahahah!
Can’t beat a dead horse…
LOL!
I had something else to say, but I can’t remember, cuz I can’t get past You Can’t Beat a Dead Horse!
If you guys will spring for airfare, I’ll play goalie.
Good luck this weekend. Sadly, I had to pass on soccer this spring. Work is just too busy.
Those matching aprons are adorable!
Wow, your a soccer player too! I play in the third division on team Odyssey.
Good luck Superboy and Supermom!
Love the photo and the aprons.
Awww, you’re just like the Cleavers, except with knitting! Oh, and beer!
Gorgeous sky!! And I LOVE the matching aprons! Go, SuperBoy!
The aprons are cool. Wish Superboy luck in his play….sounds like he’s having lots of fun. The photo of the moon is awesome. I stink at picture taking, I normally leave that one to hubby.
Good luck at your game.
Those Aprons are DARLING! Love them!!
And YAY Superboy - my niece (5yrold) does plays like that and she LOVES them I am sure he will have a FANTASTIC time!

Can’t beat a Dead Horse ~snort~
Break a leg, SuperBoy!
Love those aprons!
Dead horse. /giggles
break a leg, Superboy!
These aprons are so cute! And the stripe matches your old blog wallpaper (which I miss…). : )
The aprons are adorable! Break a leg to Superboy!
Could her feet be any cuter?
My daughter is going to be in a play again soon. Are you as nervous as I am? She is totally fine, it is me that is a wreck before she performs! I love the aprons!
Gorgeous sky - as usual; fabulous fun aprons, and to Superboy - Break a leg sweetie! Wish I could be there to cheer!
i love the aprons!
Adorable aprons! Congratulations to Super Boy, tell him to break a leg! I was on a league volleyball team in college called the Nads. Our rallying
cry was, “Go Nads.”
Those aprons are too cute! And that’s a great shot of the moon -have a great weekend!
Break a leg, Superboy; don’t break a spoon, Supergirl and great picture, Mom! You amaze me being able to do all you do and then go out and play soccer. I played soccer once as an adult and found that the ladies were really quite vicious (at least the team we played). I’ve never played again.
Glad supergirl’s going to find a rhythm in knitting. Good luck to superboy, or is that break a leg?
Cute aprons!
Aprons are adorable…good luck to Superboy in the play!
The aprons are just adorable.
I’m loading up the website to check out the Children’s Theater. I did a lot of tech in high schoo and loved it. It ended up taking me away from the “bad crowd”, so saved me in a sense. Please tell SuperBoy to “Break a Leg” for me!
~Suz~
Oh those are cute!! And yay for Supergirl knitting!
Loving the aprons. I tried the no-knead bread but it just doesn’t look the same. Oh well. Hubby loves it. Mine reminds me of the bread you get at restaurants that you dip in the oil stuff. I think I had too much water. For me 5/8 is just perplexing. Can you tell I don’t really cook or bake? I do know how to use the microwave though ‘-)
I remember the Missoula Children’s Theater! It was sooo much fun when I was little. The aprons are sooo cute!
I just had to delurk to say - what a strikingly beautiful picture of the moon over the mountains! Gorgeous! Makes me want to live in albequerque. Actually, if you don’t mind, what’s it like living there? It’s an area that’s always held an attraction for me, and my husband and I are in the very beginning stages of thinking of a move. If I can’t convince him of Portland, OR, maybe I can convince him of New Mexico!
Thanks!
I want to live where you live. Beautiful! Breathtaking, you are one lucky gal. I love Leslie’s aprons, they are great, I spent
Last Thursday with Leslie, she is jsut as talented & sweet in person. I am channeling you today, I’m dying yarn!
