It’s that time again for the whole Scout clan to start soccer. Superboy missed his first game due to the play but Supergirl had hers. They haven’t played since October and yet they came back playing even better than the fall. They totally rocked and won their first game. She scored a goal and assisted another. Fun way to start off the season. I liked this Saturday Sky shot.
The hood is up because it was freezing. I have to say that I’m totally jealous of her soccer uniform. It has this cool tribal-like tatoo on the shoulders. I wonder if I can convince my team to get them? Speaking of tattoos. How many of you have a tattoo? I was thinking about this the other day. I think we need to do a tattoo-meme. Flash your tattoos. I’ll get a better picture of mine and post them within the next few days. I have two on my back and have a third one planned. I got both of mine after my mother died. I guess you could say that I did them both with her in mind. What about you? Let’s call this the Craft-Tat Meme. I want to see your tattoos. I know a lot of you have them. Show em off! I almost forgot. You have to see the new hoodie we bought for Gus yesterday. Superboy and I were laughing so hard in Target when we found this. We knew we had to buy it. Funniest dog attire EVER. Can you read it? It says Punk Barker. HAA!!! And it looks even funnier on Gus now that he got groomed. This way he doesn’t look like such a weenie. Now he’s all bad-ass when he barks at people at the front gate. Who knew there could be so much fun involved in dressing up a dog?

Technically I have five but showing I have four. My original one has been covered up by another. I wish I still had that first one. I was so thrilled to get it. I even lived in New Mexico at the time and did it when I was back to NMMI from White Sands. Had a driving break and got a tattoo….skull with long gnarly hair, grinning teeth and eyes. I miss my guy. Now in his place is a flower and heart…yuck. I also have a dragon on my right arm, my daughter’s name and pretty flower on my left arm and a tiger on my lower right side of my back. I plan on getting the boys names done too. I’m just not sure how I want to do them yet.

I have a tatoo on my left inner ankle of the Green Bay Packers “G”!! I’ll let know when I post it to my blog. I also have a
nose stud. I was 38 when I got my tatoo and 41 when I did the nose piercing!! My mid-life crisis I guess. I love them both.
Well I’m on the other side of this. As yet I have no tatoo, you see when I was twelve I REALLY wanted to have my ears pierced. My Dad was really against it because he thinks ear peircing is “a barbaric custom” so to get the ear peircing I had to give him a year to talk me out if it, write a one hundred word essay on why ear piercing was not a barbaric custom (my best argument was “The ancient Romans thought ear piercing was a barbaric custom, but they also thought the world was flat, so what did they know?”) and sign a paper saying that I would not pierce anything else or get a tatoo until I was 21 or financially independant whichever came later (this was an improvement, actually, becaue that was originally when he said I could get my ears peirced). So no tattoo as yet, although the thought of a ball of yarn and needles on my ankle is sounding really cool at the moment.

I have three tattoos. One on my right hip that I got about 16 years ago, it is a pyramid
in purple, blue and yellow (it looks terrible now and I should have it covered up) but it meant
something at the time. I have a purple pansy (my favorite flower) on my left ankle that I got
about 13 years ago and then I have my knitting needles and ball of yarn on my right foot,
I got it about 6 months ago (and I think you have a photo of it in the gallery of stuff made
from your yarn as i showed it off when i was showing off the socks I made.

I don’t have a tattoo… but I want one. I want a celtic knot on the back of my calf, or my ankle. I’ve got three tattoos, I’ll post pics tomorrow. I’ve got one on the inside of each wrist, and one on my lower back. I love them, each one has a specific meaning/reason behind it, and I plan on getting several more.
I have one, but it is small. I want another one, but I figure at my age I have no business. Plus, there’s nothing worse than a picture of a saggy knitted swatch (my chosen future tattoo).

No tattoos here, either. I’ve never been quite able to appreciate the love for the body ink. All I ever had to do was look at an aging hippie, wrinkly trailer-trash barfly (I spent my teenage years working in a bar), or old sailor/marine to convince me it’s a big mistake. They might look ok on the young, but hideous and pathetic on the old, fat and wrinkly. But I’m sure YOURS (and everyone else’s around here) are JUST BEAUTIFUL, heh-heh-heh.

I have a yin yang the size of a quarter on the outside of my left ankle. It’s there to remind me that everything is part of the grand balance of the universe.

I don’t have one, YET, but I know what I want. I want a sun, moon and three stars. Tge sun and moon are my hubby and I and the three stars would be our three boys. But if/when I get it, it will be in a rather personal place, not for public display.
I’m inked- I have a tribal design at the small of my back. Not the easiest to self photograph, however.
I am a big needle-wuss (I have to lay down for shots, donating blood, etc). But this was not so bad. It felt like a cat scratch going over and over the same area of skin… possibly a little more intense going over my actual spine but if you choose a cushy place with some padding, it’s not too bad. Unless the tattoo artist decides to show you the huuuuuge needle he is going to use on you (I nearly fainted). Next time, don’t show me the needle, just do it!

I have five…I blogged about them a while ago but I think I deleted the post by accident when I was going through my archives one day and “cleaning up” my blog. I have a ladybug on my right hip, the Rollins Sun on my right shoulderblade, a tree of life on my left shoulderblade, a peace sign woven out of seaweed with fish swimming through it at the base of my neck and my zodiac symbol, the female symbol and my planetary symbol on my tailbone.
I really want another one…I want a chain of stars going around my left wrist, but I’m hesitant to get it. I haven’t gotten a tat in a long, long time and — and honestly, I can’t believe I feel this way, because I never, ever have — I’m afraid of being judged because of having such a visible tat. The ones I have now are easily hidden and unless I’m wearing a tank top or am naked, you can’t tell they’re there. I’m not embarrassed or ashamed of them at all but I hate being judged by my ink. I dunno…guess that means I’m not ready for another one.

Hmmm… does the eyelids count? I have my eyeliner tattooed on. I also *see* a tremendous amount of artwork, usually stuff no-one else gets to see. I’m a waxer, you know, brazilian waxing? There are some very nice artists in this area.
I just recently posted a pic of my new one. I have 11 in all now. (Unless my new ones count as 2, since the art and the name aren’t attatched.)
No knitting related ones though. Just never could decide exactly what to get with that theme.
