I might be a bit quiet this week….

because I got a new toy. It can do things like this.

pansies

The camera I’ve used for the past two years was a hand-me-down from my mother-in-law. I think it’s about 5 years old. It’s done a pretty good job but I simply felt like I had finally outgrown it. A friend of mine who knows a lot about cameras helped me pick out my new camera this weekend. I got the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. And holy crap. I’m in love. It even makes cute noises when it takes pictures. However, I have so much to learn it’s not even funny. I think the manual weighs 10lbs. I mean look at what it can do.

Perplexed Superkids
Now that the Indie Swag is out the door I can catch up on all other yarn orders. I will be dyeing all day tomorrow which should get me closer to that goal. Just knowing I can take amazing pictures of they yarn once it’s dry is such motivation. Plus T. unexpectedly has the day off which will really help. I’ll leave you with one more. Supergirl learned a new trick yesterday.

Can you tell how much fun I’m having?

I’m about to breakdown and buy that camera. Did you get yours through Amazon or locally? I’ve been debating between a new wheel and a new camera but I’m leaning heavily towards the new camera.

Oh, we know how much fun you’re having! That camera was way out of our price range, but we’re having fun with our new Kodak just the same.

I priced and read reviews for months and when i found it for under $200, how could one go wrong? 7.1 MegaPixels and a 10x Zoom for *just* under $200 AND a free 512 MB memory card…it was so MINE!

    LOL!!

    Have fun!

The manual weighs 10 lbs? Seriously? Mine came with a teeny weeny one. Mine doesn’t make cute noises either. Then again, mine’s just an XT. I’m so deprived. ;)

Did you have to use a macro lens to get those super close-up shots?? I’m looking for a new camera myself, as my current digital camera is 8 years old and plugs into a serial port! =) I’ve been looking at the one you got as well as the Olympus E-500 EVOLT. Not sure which to get. Aaaargghh!
