I never got that whole "pain for style/beauty" thing. Heels are just plain uncomfortable and not very practical ... especially when toting two kids and diaper bag and knitting bag, etc around with me. My college roommate used to walk to campus in high heels and come home with huge blisters on her feet. I thought she was crazy but then she would put bandaids on and do it again the next day so I KNEW she was crazy. She said it was more important to be fashionable than comfortable. Yikes!
