Rest In Efficiency
Aries Daily Horoscope You could feel analytical and pragmatic today as you focus on achieving your goals. This could cause you to feel disconnected socially and yearn for a greater balance between your personal and professional lives. You could remedy this feeling by consciously choosing to put your work aside for a few hours and enjoying some recreation with friends. Though you might feel a need to stay disciplined, too much work and not enough rest could create the opposite result that you are striving for. Instead of being productive, you could become tired and overworked. Choose to set aside short periods of time for fun and relaxation today, and you may find that your focus improves and your productivity increases as a result.

We can feel more positive and purposeful about our work by regularly granting ourselves the gift of recreation and relaxation. We might feel that we need to stay focused and disciplined until we get the job done, especially if we are working hard on achieving the goals we’ve set for ourselves. While this level of dedication is admirable, it can also erode our enjoyment of our work. Choosing to create a state of balance and moderation in our activities will help us enjoy our daily experiences more. This helps us be more focused and productive when we are working. Remember that a rested mind is an efficient mind. Take time to honor your need for fun today, and you will help yourself achieve your goals.

I have the Indie Swag to dye so I’m off! This month’s colorway is really cool. It was inspired by a balloon in the International Balloon Fiesta. It’s different than anything I have ever seen. John helped design it. And y’all know he has some serious color skills!

Also, I’m not the only one knitting in the house. Look who wants to get in on the knitting action.

boy

I taught him how to knit once before but it didn’t really stick. He’s been asking/begging me off and on over the last year to teach him again. I finally went out the other day and bought both kids some cool camo yarn and their own needles. After the boy finished his homework yesterday I finally sat down and showed him how to do it. He learned faster than most adults I’ve taught. By the end of the night he had about 24 rows done on his first scarf. (about 4″) When I woke up this morning he had already knit 2 more rows. He totally loves it and has perfect tension. I’m amazed.

Can I send my little one out to learn from you? She wants to learn, but I am so not a good teacher. That is so cool that he’s enjoying it so much. Have fun with your productive day!

I tried to teach my daughter to knit, but I am a horrible teacher- I finally had to take her to my LYS and a super nice lady there taught her- she is only 5 and she is doing a great job! You must be much more patient than I am!

Ya know, I was thinking about your nasty blisters this morning (hubby has a amateur one, compared to yours!), and I realized, wounds like that is what gets that nasty Staph infection going. Please, Please be careful with those wounds. If they seem to be turning angry red or seem to developing a fever, please, please get to a doctor….FAST! My oldest had a staph infection in a abrasion last summer. It wasn’t pretty. Take care of yourself!!

That’s so nice to see a kid knitting. One of my girlfriends just mailed me a local two page article that talks
about how popular knitting has become in our schools. They are forming knitting groups!

Hurray for knitting children! DD#2 worked a bit on my current sock yesterday. I think she really likes those little needles. Besides, she needs to earn her keep. That kid wears handknit socks every day in the winter.

I am so happy for (as another called him) “That Superboy”! I just love it when I see little kids (younger than me :-) knitting or crocheting for that matter!

Love your yarn BTW! I think this is the first time I have left a comment. Sheesh…it is about time!

ah, i didn’t know you were a fellow aries.
and teaching my oldest son to knit was one of the coolest things ever!
now i’ve just got to work up the nerve to show him how to do cables.
he has finally given up the incessant begging, but i did promise to…
