This morning I went with our good friends to be the photographer for their family as they went up in a balloon to spread their father’s ashes. Some of you may remember the funeral we went to this summer, as this is the same friend. It was a beautiful morning and I got some really great shots for them. I was honored they wanted me to come and do this. I also went up in a balloon for the first time. This is one of my favorites from the morning.

crumpled up paper to me.
What a wondeful shot. So deep and symbolic.
What an honor for you - and what an amazing photo to start the journey…
That is a wicked photo!
I mean good, wicked good.
Okay, so I looked at that photo and said to Anthony that I want your camera - that shot is amazing. He looked at it and agreed that it was a great shot. then he added said it’s not the camera but the photographer (I knew that) then he said “She probably read the manual”. Unlike me apparently.
The fire is so striking against the blue sky. Beautiful!
This is off-topic from this particular post, but I love your Twist colorways! There is just something about them that really intrigues me. How do you dye them? What is the base yarn like? They rock!
WOW!!!!!!!!
WOW! Just wow!
Beautiful photo.
What an awesome image… I feel like you really could turn this into something else, though I can’t think what yet.
It looks like images arising from the flames in that picture. It also looks intimidating. How wonderful that your friends wanted you with them during this special time.
