Well I haven’t really sinned but I need forgiveness. As of right now I have 2700 unread messages in Bloglines. Last week, the Sock Club completely kicked my arse and made me more behind with blog reading than I have been in a very long time. There is no way I can catch up so I am going to clean my Bloglines slate and start over. Would it make you feel better if I gave you some green yarn? A Guinness? Oh good! I’m glad. Here. Happy St. Scoutsswag Day!

So now it’s my turn to ask you what I’ve missed. Please please leave me a comment and let me know what’s up with you? I hate missing important things or even totally mundane things. Tell me what you’ve been up to. (whether you are on my bloglines or not!) I really want to know and this way I can see it all right here and won’t feel so badly that I can’t get to your blogs. Okay? Thank you.
ps - my new ring is from Pineapple Seed. Go look at their jewelry. It’s beautiful!

I doubt I was on your bloglines, but I feel your pain. I had three weeks of work hell traveling and came back to 650 bloglines messages. Took me a week to get through them. What have I been up to? Sucky work, ran out of yarn on the pair of socks I was knitting on the road (CRAP!) and finished the Cobblestone I was knitting for my husband. Voilla! You’re all caught up
I doubt that I am also on your bloglines. I did have an especially awesome week last week. I still have not blogged about the last bit but I finally broke through my FO block this week and finished 3 items. One of them was a new design that I will be releasing soon (pictured on Friday). So yeah to me and conquering my block with a new design. That must have been my problem. I need to design more.
Mostly I just want to get my mitts on that green yarn!! (I wouldn’t say “no” to the Guiness either.)
Once in awhile a girl doesn’t have any other choice than to clear out her bloglines. No appologies needed.
I don’t think I’ve made the Bloglines cut either, but my little son turned a whole year old!
Fastest year evarrrrrr.
Love love LOVE the green yarn, by the way.
I love that ring!
Nothing all that new for me. I finished up a pair of socks recently, and have been busy with my kids. My son started up Little League which has been fun but busy!
I better be on your bloglines. I knit a springy pair of socks that I posted yesterday. Having button band issues with the cardi. I ripped it and am going to try it again at some point. *L* What’s his name and I seem to be doing well/better, but that could be the caffeine talking.
I hope y’all are doing well over there. I’ve been thinking about you. ♥
Not much has been going on with me, mostly because the time change has kicked my butt. Will I ever adjust?
Love that ring.
I had a great week last week because I took 3 vacation days to attend a Weaving Workshop that my guild was hosting. The teacher was awesome and I had a great time learning new weave structures. Now, I can go forward with great new patterns and I’ve just got to figure out how to incorporate some of the yarn and roving I’ve gotten from Scout’s Swag.
And to top it off, I got in to the Sock Club, so I had a fabulous week!!
your new ring is gorgeous!
Going in my life: we took the kiddos to Princess on Ice, they loved it. I am getting ready for the cycling season-yay! I am still knitting on my chevron scarf
I’m running on empty already. I finished sewing my girl’s dance outfit today for dress rehearsal tonight, recital tomorrow. Wed is soccer & swimming. Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday Easter Vigil, Easter in which husband is singing in choir and three of which the kiddies and I will be attending. Easter goodies due in two preschool classes for Friday. But in all this craziness, a “new to me” spinning wheel, plenty of lovely fiber to mix/match and a little evening time to zone out to my hearts content.
p.s. Thanks for listening!
I didn’t have time to finish the pretty green anklets I’m knitting for today’s holiday but I did buy some green socks this evening that had sparkly stripes on them. Those were the sort of mundane details you were looking for, right?
Oh and I made pie for Pi Day. Cherry-peach. Yum! Would you like a slice with your Guinness?
I’m moving to Alaska. Movers come April 23.
Life is very exciting. So, that’s what’s new in my life.
holy crap, I get overwhelmed when I have like 700. Nothing new with me. Baby still isn’t sleeping through the night, although she teased us the other night and slept for 9 1/2 hrs out of the blue. At least there’s potential.
I hate it when my bloglines gets crazy. It seems to happen more and more often these days. My older dd turned 4 last week. After an incredible Winnie the Pooh Party, I got to be the mystery reader for her preschool class. I read Woolbur (awesome book). I also showed the class how to spin. They loved it. Some of them were shouting, “Go faster!” Thankfully, the wheel, yarn, wool, and I made it home in one piece. And I spent the last weekend knitting like crazy for sock madness. But I am in Round 2!!
I made it into your Club again :o) Your socks yarn is happily being knitted into Jaywalkers and I am praying that I will have enough to finish a pair! Oh and I started a blog, not that I have to much free time, guess I just need another distraction from finishing a PhD.
Have a lovely day, all of you!
Love the ring! I know how you feel about being behind, I am working on these charity dog sleepers and it seems the more I knit the less they seem to gor. Like some sort of knitting time warp, I’m adding rows but the sleepers are getting smaller?
Anyway, Happy Kntting!
You missed my stressed-out meltdown that was resolved when I got my defense date. I’ll be in ABQ in a few weeks, baby!!! I’ll e-mail you the deets.
good for you! Sometimes when you get behind, you just have to “Mark All As Read” and know that the world will not end. I’ve been busy finishing up an argyle sock class at my LYS - Knitting Central. It was great fun. I even signed up for 2 Charlene Schurch sock classes which meant I had to rearrange my schedule since I was supposed to be out of town. A girl’s got to have her priorities straight, right? Anyway, I love the green yarn and the ring. Thanks for sharing. Good luck catching up with everyone. Happy knitting - Jennifer
I wish I could do that with my email folder because it is out of control right now!
The yarn is beautiful, and I don’t even wear rings and I want that one…you always have the best new things!
Probably not in your bloglines but I got a new car! And some new tattoo work! And finished a nifty new felted laptop sleeve in my latest post. That ring is awesome! And love how the green yarn matches your shirt in the pic too.
I just finished a pair of Monkeys made from someone’s yummy Snowbunny yarn!! It was the perfect match!
I’m not in your bloglines because I haven’t been posting (except for a very creepy chair). i think my knitting bone is broken because I’ve barely knit for the ast 2 months. The good news? I’m going to Vegas for the 2nd time in 2 months on Saturday.
And yes, I’ll take a Guinness, thanks.
i have about a million unread in my bloglines too. bleh. nothin’ going on with me except that i thought of you and new mexico the other day when i went into this fancy candle store and found a candle that smelled just like pinon. it took me right back. we still talk about nm with friends and family.
Today I will be untangling the ball of KPPPM I’m using to knit a baby cardigan. It was OK when I started, but then it just decided to go wild.
Seeing as I am home with the flu with the rest of my family, I’m doing things I usually don’t make time for like leaving comments . First must say, FAB green yarn!!
On my regular blog I am blabbing about all the projects I’ve done wrong lately but the previous posts up are photos from our unbelievably great family trip to colombia last month.
On my shared blog with my co-author,(its newish maybe you’ve never seen it) http://www.shearspirit.typepad.com we’re blabbing about sheep, goats and travel & fiber & knitting ….what else. The book comes out soon! I am trying not to post about the joys of being home with flu stricken family members, and a crazy dog .
you’ll end up with a million messages here!!
LOVE the ring you have on, the green yarn is drool inducing! I’ll skp the guiness but would take an appletini so as to still dirink something green in the spirit of it all.
Barry is fine now, but he had a horrendus ER visit worthy allergy attack and is having allegy testing on Friday.
I am knitting a sweater! YES, a sweater all for me. I am quite happy with it, working on the first sleeve at the moment but have the bottom of the body done! I am loving it so far. HUGS to you.
joycelyn
I’ve been knitting too many socks. Well, a lot of socks. lol Sick again, computer crashed again, and am mooning over the last SS shipment. Such lovely raspberry-ness.
I’ve been cultivating my new love for spinning. I’ve been getting better at it, and the little side-account I’ve made for my ‘portable wheel fund’ has about 1/3 of what I need to get a lovely reliable portable spinning wheel.
Due to the spinning, the knitting’s been a little slow, but I’m plugging away at a thank-you hat for my driving instructor.
Oh, and still making hints to hubby about checking out your site some time….
my news is a bit sad - sorry to say and don’t read it if you can’t take it. I was in Gallup for 2 weeks at the beginning of February - from when I returned I have been living with the news that my Sadie (my 12 y/o white standard poodle) has a brain tumor and a tumor in her liver. I have decided to just give her the Prednisone, which allows her to live her life right now with relative ease and comfort. She’ll let me know when she’s ready to go. She’s comfortable, wants to eat and go for her walks and, sigh, she happily greets me at the door when I return home from errands. I thank her everyday for being the wonderful girl she’s been and a lovable and sweet companion for these 12 years. My husband is coming to visit us (from Gallup) for a long weekend on Thurs. Say prayers for her - she’s been well loved and cared for and I’m grateful she’s still with me. Thanks everyone who read all the way through this. I must say also, I couldn’t knit or do anything for a while - I’m back to knitting and living ODAT with gratitude.
I do feel better after enjoying your Guiness and yarn. Not much happening around here: March. Western New York state. Enough said.
My hard drive failed Saturday morning on my 7 month old MacBook. God damn it all to hell. It was under warranty, but my backup wasn’t complete so I lost photos since December and all my iTunes video, including two seasons of Weeds. FUCK.
Breathe. It could always be worse.
Sorry you asked?
Ha, I have a perpetual 700+ unread posts. Now I don’t feel so bad…
It’s still not spring in Vermont. That ought to make you feel good!
I now feel better about my 652 blog entries to read.
I finished my 1st round socks for Sock Madness. That was an accomplishment. Otherwise, my self imposed “March Madness” continues somewhat. I’ve been working a some knitting and some stitching. Nothing spectacular.
Oh, and the Guinness was a perfect complement to the green yarn.
Love the ring and that yarn–hey it looks like Appletini! My very first Scouts Swag yarn
from you:)
What you have missed—well I’m hosting a kitchen themed swap in case you
are interested? No knitting required unles syou want to knit:)
It’s our last day in Barcelona! Weather has been chilly but clear today, food has been incredible and art is inspiring:)
Off to France tomorrow–I love vacations!!!!
I had a big week… I had a baby last Monday! You can send me that Guiness (I’m drinking one a day to help increase milk production).
No blog here but I am always blogging in my mind…does that count. Thanks for the link to Pineapple Seed; it has been promptly bookmarked for future gifts for myself and others.
Wow, cool man, big thanks! http://jdqkzkchhrth.com
