Just wanted to say hey before I pass out from jet-lag. Those of you who told me it’s harder coming back weren’t kidding. T. and I both fell asleep watching TV with the kids last night around 7:45pm. I can feel sleep coming on soon. But the trip was amazing although I am overwhelmed with the 2500+ shots I have to go through. Yeah….lots of pictures. It’s hard not to take pictures when around every corner you see something like this:

or this
or this!
Okay so you get the point. I have more in that flickr set if you want to see them. I haven’t had time to process too many of them but it’s a start. We saw so much while we were there. Rome, Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Orvieto, Narni, Tivoli to name a few. It was a busy 12 days. The kids did great with the babysitter and Supergirl only got upset two days before we were to come home. Otherwise everything was great. I will tell you that it was nice to sleep in my own bed on Sunday night! (and not worry about wood scorpions!!) Oh and I even knit on the plane. That’s a story I will save for the next time. Let’s just say a woman grabbed my knitting to show me how to knit and completely messed it UP!!!
Not much other news to report. I mailed out everything today that was bought while I was gone. I will be restocking the shop and putting up the new Namaste bags within the next few days. Their new swag is seriously cool! I am still not taking yarn orders until after June 1st so I can catch up with life/work/sleep! Some of you know this by now but I’m also traveling to San Francisco in June to teach a dye class at knit one one. It might already be filled. I’m not sure. I am so excited because I get to meet some people who have been my biggest supporters over the past few years. I get to hang out with Stephen and Mike too! So check it out if you live anywhere near the studio and want to learn how I do my thang. Should be a really fun time. (if there are spots left) This is something I might be doing over the next year so stay tuned. I need to go back east this summer and might see if I can fit in a class in NY or NJ while I am there. We’ll see. Put your requests in!
Um. Jet-lag has hit and I can’t remember what else I wanted to talk about. Um. Ummmmmmm. I guess that’s it for now before I fall asleep on the keyboard. Hope to catch up with everyone soon!
****Check out the new Namaste Bags & Accessories! They are seriously cool!***

It looks like it was an amazing trip.
Yay! Come to NJ, or NYC!!! Anglefire Studios in Basking Ridge would be a great place for you to do a class. Justine is the owner.
Welcome home, chica!
xxxx
So glad you made it home safe! I can’t wait to read about the woman on the plane.
Hooray for hanging with Stephen and Mike!

Welcome back to a wood scorpions free home!
Again, your photography is amazing. I remain humbled.
If you’re going to be in the NY/NJ area, why not take a quick drive up the road to MA and do the class at Webs? They have great facilities for classes, and every knitter or spinner should experience the back room at Webs at least once… just bring the smelling salts!
I’ve been watching your photos come up on flickr - can’t wait to see them all. Welcome home, I missed you!
Ditto what Angie said…you have to come do a class in NE.
Gorgeous photos - can’t wait to see the rest of them. I’ll have to enjoy Italy that way till I can get there myself.
Welcome back! Those are some beautiful pictures. I love the one of the flower in the grass. Wow. Jealous. =D
Welcome Back!! I love your photography…can’t wait to hear more about the woman on the plane. Apparently she’s unaware that knitting needles can also be used as weapons…ie: “touch my knitting and I’ll poke your eyes out”!!
I’m glad you had a good time! Welcome back!
Welcome back! And…GORGEOUS photos. I am so jealous…I should be going to Florence in July but can’t afford it….
It is so good to see a current photo of the basilica–I spent several days in Assisi 3 months before the earthquake back in 1997. Glad you had a great time!
Welcome back Scout!!! I am soooooooooooooooooo darn happy that you are coming out this way! I can hardly
wait to meet you:) Finally - Hurray!
Welcome home, Scout! I’ve missed you. Good luck adjusting to being home. Isn’t jet-lag fun? o.0

Welcome back! Your trip sounds amazing.
Back East, huh? Come to PA (Lancaster County - you know, PA Dutch Country)!
Welcome home! Love the photos. And finally got my sock club swag. Thanks so much for letting me participate in choosing the colors. They are beautiful!
Welcome back-it looks like you had a great time!
You know I love your yarn and you color choices are amazing but I have to say that I’m a photography/art lover before a knitter and your ability to capture the outside world is splendid! Beautiful Photographs!
Glad you had a nice trip!
Yay for a safe and fun trip! Glad you are home!
Welcome back! I’m betting there are going to be lots of Italy-inspired yarn in the future.
Your pics are beautiful! Can’t wait to hear more about it! Glad it was a good time.
Sounds like you had a great time! The shots of Italy are wonderful. Yep, jet lag stinks!! Caffeine rules! =-)
Did you say Boston???? You said Boston right!, not NY or NJ….
Phew thats what I thought…
::hint, hint::
I’m glad you had a great trip. Italy is stunning and wonderful and a completely somple way of life that I sometimes wish we would adopt.
Welcome home! It looks like it was a wonderful trip!
Love the pictures! Can’t wait to see more. I’m glad you had so much fun.
Looks like you had fun - I love Italy. I lived there for a year when I was at university studying Italian
Welcome Home!!! And hey, was that woman who grabbed your knittting German? Was her name Traute? Must have been, becuase that’s what A’s stepmom did to me too. Yikes.
Glad you had a great time - can’t wait to look at the pics!
Great photos and an enviable trip! In your pics I had to laugh at the one with the old man asleep in the ubiquitous white plastic chair from Target. Probably they are all over the world, even in the remotest parts of New Guinea! As for the lady who grabbed your knitting, therein lies a tale–fascinated to hear it. Too bad it doesn’t end with you stabbing her with your knitting needles. On second thought, they’d become forbidden on airline flights if you had done that, so . . . but still, it’s hilarious that she was going to tell YOU how to knit. 8^)
Great photos J!! Love the one of the two doorways. Glad you are home safe and sound and had a great trip.
J….I am going to Italy on June 11th. Did you visit any good yarn shops?
Welcome back! :o)
I haven’t stopped by in a while (been busy with school), but I was ust browsing the knit-one-one website and saw your class!! Oh my goodness! You’re gonna be within a mile of my house!!!
Unfortunately I’m flat-ass-broke thanks to not finding a summer job yet, otherwise I would SO BE THERE!!
Can I stop by and say hi at some point? I’m so sad that I might miss you while you’re in town!
