Happy Friday Everyone!

Yesterday ranked as one of the most amazing days of my life.  I got within three feet of Barack Obama.  See this girl in the green shirt?

She’s standing in what they call the buffer. It’s the area for the press in between the public and the stage. I got to be in that spot for about 10 minutes yesterday in Española, NM and got within 3 feet of Barack while he spoke. Look.

I got in as press again, and now have 430 shots to go through. It was truly amazing to be this close to him. The speech was beyond inspiring. I hope to get to some more pictures later today and will get them up in this flickr set.  The whole day was just fantastic. One of those days I will never, ever, forget.

Have a great weekend everyone!

You are so lucky! I’m so jealous. Barack Obama is so amazing to listen to. I’m currently listening to “The Audacity of Hope” at work, and I always feel so inspired! Great shots, I can’t wait to see more!

My friend got a job (she leaves Sunday) to work on the Obama Campaign! She goes to Denver for training, then will get sent to a swing state and if he wins, she goes to Washington.

It must have been amazing! I have never been so inspired by a presidential candidate. Normally I’m cynical and pissed off about the whole thing, but for the first time in my life, I actually think that an election will change the course of this country.

Wow!!!!!!! To be so close. And what a picture. It’s wonderful! Is it just me, or is he showing more silver? Maybe he already had it but is letting it show so he looks older, for those people who think he’s too young.

Well, you have got it goin’ ON, girl. What a thrill and a privilege to be in that position, literally and figuratively. I am mighty pleased to see the reaction to your shots and have more and more hope that those of us who have had enough of what has gone on for the last 8 years can rise up and have our say. As I said in my blog, it is up to those people who have never voted or who have been complacent to change things. Yes people, the man DOES have a few gray hairs and will have a lot MORE after taking on this job for awhile. I want a SMART president!!!

That head and shoulders shot with the sky as background is stunning! Someone needs to pay you for that one and use it in a very high profile way.
