I hope you feel less overwhelmed soon. It's always nice to be busy, but sometimes a big breath is needed as well.

It is really hard to blog when one has been super busy. I just find myself reading mostly these days. I'm knitting though, knitting this http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/murano-scarf
So far so good, though I did get a little confused at the beging. I'm sure it will work out.

I'm making the ubiquitous Hemlock Ring Blanket ( http://brooklyntweed.blogspot.com/2007/08/hemlock-ring-blanket.html ) with some dark brown Cascade Eco Wool. It's a fantastically satisfying knit.

I'm currently loving two projects. Veronik Avery's Peace and Love Gloves, from Color Style ( http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/peace-and-love-gloves-by-veronik-avery ) is my have-to-think-about-it project. They are warm, and the 4-row chart makes the knitting zoom. I'd never used Whiskey before, and really love it. The yarn is full of color, with strands of many hues making each color. In fact, two of my coworkers were compelled to start sweaters in it after watching me knit the gloves.

For something to knit during movies, I jumped right on the old bandwagon, and started a Noro Striped scarf ( http://brooklyntweed.blogspot.com/2007/04/noro-scarf.html ) , with Plymouth Boku.

I'm making the Lace Ribbon Scarf from Knitty: http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring08/PATTlaceribbon.html

But I'm using the Noro Silk Garden Sock Yarn and the color changes are matching up nicely with the directional changes. Very lovely, and almost done. This one is for moi!

I am currently swatching for a vest in Beaverslide light sport (color: chokecherry heather). I'll be following the Honeycomb pattern (http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring08/PATThoneycomb.html) with a simple brocade stitch pattern in place of the honeycomb stitch.

I'm currently knitting dishcloths and fairly plain ribbed socks, because I'm focusing my energy on school and I want knitting that's just something to do with my hands. A pattern I'd like to knit at some point is Hippocampus: http://www.theinsideloop.com/Issue4/Patterns/hippocampus.html
