Harry Hanukkah came and left the kids their first presents and he did very well. The girly was shocked that he not only found her wish list but got her the Nintendo DS game she wanted! Hooray for Harry Hanukkah!

This is a shot taken with my new-to-me lens. I got T. a used D70 for Christmas and wanted to get him a 50mm lens. I’ve been looking for a few weeks and finally yesterday scored a 50mm 1.4 at a local camera shop. I kept the 1.4 and gave him my 1.8. I love it sooooo much. And for many of you this probably makes no sense!
But it was funny. I walked in the door and took my lens off my camera and handed it to him and said here! Merry Christmas! Even though paying the deductible on his surgery was supposed to be his present. Tomorrow we go back to the Dr so they can put on his new cast/splint/thingy. It’s one that allows his are to actually move. I’m afraid to see his arm. But of course I’ll tough it out so I can take pictures for everyone to see. I can suffer for my art.

Happy Hanukkah
Somebody actually gave up their 50/1.4? Lucky you!
We have matching menorah photos! Happy Hanukah and hooray for new lenses!
Happy Hanukkah, my friend!!
Happy Hannukah Scout! (I had no idea you were Jewish!) My son wanted to blow out the menorah last night, he thought they were birthday candles (especially since he just had his 2nd birthday party during the day yesterday!)
(Did my small package finally arrive to you yet? It had been sent back to me first, but I recent it).
happy Chanukah! enjoy your “new” lens in good health. i don’t grok the differences but since my husband goes on similar lens quests, I understand. yay!
