So I promised the other day I would come back and tell everyone what the heck has kept me from posting on this thing. May was absolutely nuts. Wrapping up the Twist Collective job seemed to take up a lot of time as well as the last month of school for the kids. Then there’s been a little bit of this:

and a little bit of this

and a little bit of that

You get the picture. It’s been just straight out. There’s been also been a ton of soccer for me too. Needless to say I don’t feel like I have time for anything! But it’s been fun. The kids started camp today and I might finally be able to catch up with everything I have to do. Including getting here and saying hello to everyone.
To anyone who lives locally? I have a dye class I’m teaching this Saturday at Village Wools and there is still room. There is a 2 hour class this Sat and a 3 hour class next Sat. I haven’t taught around here for a long time and I’m really looking forward to it. If you want a peek into what I do in the class check out this set of pictures from San Fransisco last summer. So come play with me this weekend if you live around here and want to learn how to hand dye yarn!
What else? Oh!!! I just finished reading a fantastic book - Blue Boy. A good friend of mine, Tara, whose actions I have posted about before, is good friends with Rakesh who wrote this book. Please go and buy it and read it!! I promise that you’ll love it. It’s the type of book that stays with me and makes it nearly impossible to pick up another book to read because I keep thinking about the main character in the book. I finished it over a week ago and am still thinking about that boy. So go ……. NOW and buy it! Let me know if you do and what you think. I would love for Rakesh to be able to come and see that others have bought it.
Hummmm. What else? Oh! I am going to be in San Diego in July and was thinking about possibly trying to teach a dye class there. I found out the name of a few yarn shops but was curiuos if anyone actually had a favorite one there that would be looking to have me maybe come and teach? They need to have a good space for it and people who would be interested. I had so much fun last summer when I went to San Fran. to teach. I’d love to be able to do it in San Diego too. So if anyone lives there and wants to help me set something up….please let me know!
One final thing. Check out the new stuff coming from Namaste! Anything you see her ecan be pre-ordered. I will be getting it by the end of June. I can’t wait to see that new bag in person. Just leave me a comment or email me if you would like to get in on the pre-orders.
Okay. Time to work on some sock club stuff. I hope you are all well and that some of you are still around to read this!

Ah, summertime! We’ve still got a week of school. Can. not. wait. for it to end.
(The girls are killing themselves studying for finals. The boy, not so much.)
Please come to NJ and teach a class!
People in ABQ - take the dye class! I was in Scout’s first class and enjoyed the heck out of it. How empowering! I’ve always had trouble finding the colors I see in my head - now I can dye them myself.
Thank you, Scout!
Marie, still in exile in Temple, TX, but counting down the months until I can move back

Great pics as usual!
Okay, I am going to gift a class of yours to my sister for Christmas (her birthday has already passed for this year). She will LOVE it!
Wow! Beautiful pictures! How is it going on the dye book you have been working on? Getting close to publishing? I hope so. I was very excited to hear about it and can’t wait to buy the book. Cheers!
Lots of wonderful activities for the whole family - how fun!
