Sorry for the delay but Cynthia actually does what I should do and takes the weekends off from work! I’ll apologize in advance to everyone for not having a yarn shot in this time. I liked these other ones a lot so that’s what you’ll get. What’s that saying kids learn in pre-school from that book? You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit? HAA!! Anyway, hope you can still find one you like. 
Well hello everyone! Is it me or is this year just flying by? It’s sort of blowing my mind that in just 3 months it’s 2010! Crazy huh? Anyway, here are this month’s calendars. Love the yarny one that Cynthia did with my October Sock Club yarn - bomb pop, designed by the Petite Purls girls! Isn’t it fun? Hope everyone is doing well and that you’re all getting excited to wear your knitwear!

Wow….um summer went by so quickly!!! Hope you all had a great one. I sure did. The kids are back in school, soccer started yesterday and life is just busy busy busy! We made sure to get a yarn shot this month. I know some don’t like the Scout’s Swag label in the shot but it was the best one I had out of the bunch. I figure putting up a kitty one makes up for it? Here you go!
I think this is officially the longest I’ve ever gone without blogging. This past month literally just flew right by me. Our kids get out of school so early here the last month of school just seems to totally take over! I’m sure most of you have seen by now what has really kept me busy? Did you notice the name of the photographer for the newest Twist Collective? Yep! C’est moi. back in March Kate Gilbert, her mom and her girly flew out here for us to do the Rt. 66 shoot. I absolutely love how it came out and am happy that Kate gave us permission to make the cover into a calender for all of you. You also might recognize a few people? Supergirl? T? Miss V? Friends and family make for cheap models! So here they are. Two super pretty ones if I don’t say so myself!
I have a lot more to say but am literally running out the door to a party so I will have to do it tomorrow. Or the next day? I hope you are all well!!
Wow. May?!? How the heck did that happen? We did three calendars this month because I finally got some photography mojo and had too many shots from which to choose. Cynthia has decided starting this month to make one calendar per shot but moved the calendar part more towards the middle so PC & Mac users can use the same one. This saves her some time and since she does this for everyone for free….I’m just happy she’ll still do them for me/us! We always love to know which ones you like and take so please leave a comment telling us! It’s been quiet around here. I’ve been so swamped and have been a terrible blogger. But hey, we still get in here and do these for you guys cause we lurve you all!

That’s right, Round 4 of Scout’s Swag Sock Club is here! I have tried my hardest to keep the prices down but the last two years I have been hit each time the USPS increases their shipping prices so I had to up the price by just a few dollars so I don’t lose money. I wish I had control over this but it seems as if every year the prices will increase so I need to increase the club prices as well, to cover shipping and Paypal fees. 
This time around there are 60 full spots, divided up as follows:
To help the signup process move smoothly, and ensure that everyone gets a fair shot, a lottery draw will be used. Starting at 6 PM MST on Thursday, March 12th, you’ll be able to cast your name into the hat for one of the spots listed above. The signup form will be up for 48 hours, so be sure to submit your name by 6 PM MST on Saturday, March 14th. There is a definite chance I will make the club bigger if the response is bigger. Last year I allowed over 100 spots…..so it just depends! Bookmark this page as it will be where the signups are.
To signup, visit this page in the 48 hour time window, and the signup form will appear. (If you don’t see it, try refreshing your browser). Simply enter your Name, E-Mail Address, and select the spot you are interested in. If you’re a member of Scout’s Indie Swag Round 3, then click the checkbox marked Round 3 Member. All existing members who sign up will be entered into the drawing twice. We will be checking this against the current member list, so please do not check that box unless you are truly in the club.
This year there will also be a box to check if you live outside of the US. There are additional shipping charges if you do. For each month you sign up the charges are roughly $11.00 more for Canada and $13.00 for any other country. For example if you live in England and get a 6 month spot you will need to pay an additional $78.00. I will only mail Priority Mail because with First Class you do not get tracking. I would hate for anything to get lost overseas and not be able to track it. Unfortunately the USPS rates go up every year and I have no control over this expense. I wish I did!
Please note that signing up on this page does not guarantee you a spot in Round 4 of the Indie Swag Club, it just puts you into the random drawing to determine the winners. Also, please don’t signup if you aren’t 100% sure that you want to join. Another point I would like to make is that anyone who signs up for a 1 month spot also takes the chance of getting yarn in ANY one of the following months. April, June, August, October, December, February. So there is a definite chance you won’t get your yarn until February 2010. I know that seems like forever away and want to make sure you understand that! Also, yarn is mailed the last week of each one of these months so you usually get it the by the 1st or 2nd of the following month.
Once the signups are complete, the winners will get an e-mail, along with a Paypal Invoice for the cost of the membership. Then you can sit back and wait for your awesome yarn! Good luck everyone!
We both apologize for this month being so late. Hope you will forgive us but Cynthia has been slammed with work! I adore them so I think it’s worth it! We’ll try to be on time for March!!!
Sorry they werer a few days late but Cynthia & I were both on Holiday! I think this year we will be sticking to only two shots but giving them to you in left and right choices. Unless there’s something super extra cool we just decided to try and keep it a bit more simple for us! I think these two are a great way to start the new year!
